Internship journal
It's better to keep a journal during your internship, something like a diary.
My team currently has 3 clients: FedEx, Nutrifood and MasterCard

First day
It came out that nothing so hard as I had thought but something kept irritating me, don't know what yet
Tasks I was given:

• Translating some documents about MasterCard (a press release, I guess)
• Summarizing  a slide show that used to promote a product or a service 
• Finding the mistakes in MC website and correcting them (used PowerPoint) 

Note: Maybe, I had done all the tasks  and submitted them to the staff who assigned them to me too fast. Might slow down a little bit and focus on the internship report on the 2nd day. Plus, I still haven't found out about the company's hierarchy and the flow of information in the corporation.



Second day
Can't decide what the topic of my report is...why so hard ?? Completed already 2 tasks but didn't know whether I did them correctly or not cuz' the assigning staff didn't give me any single feedback

Tasks given:

• Finding some information about Vietnamese Non-profit governmental Organizations in any field, I put the info into 2 categories ( Background and Activities)
• Translating a document about a speech in Heartbeats Program of FedEx 

Third day

Tasks given:
There is a competitors creative review slide show, I think it's used to identify the competitors of the products or service of Nutrifood, a client of Venus Com. The info includes Indirect and Direct competitors. I had to find their advertising articles in 2010 and count the number they had their articles published.
Only received one task today, ended up doing nothing but chatting and facebooking, I don't know how to do the report yet. What a big pressure!

Fourth day

Tasks given:
I had to translate a quarter report of MasterCard with a lot of highlight events, there were some difficult words but it's not a big deal since I have Google translate and bamboo dict, two of my fav translation tools. The report is so long, such a big yawn, anyway, finished it off at the end of the day. It took me by surprise that I spent almost a whole day in workplace to finish translating it. Hilariously that I even didn't have time to go to pee cuz the report was kind of urgent so...had to hold it in :))) Translating things remind me of those days, just wish I could turn back time and handed in all the assignments the teacher had given to the class. Oh, how I miss those translation teachers.


Fifth day

haha, it seems to be the reversion of day 3, Doing-nothing morning, the assigning staff had a meeting with customers or sth, she came to work late and that's why I had nothing to do...whoohooo still, i don't expect it keeps lasting the whole day like this. I need to do something.
Someone has just granted my wish
Task given:
Make a questionnaire or some kind of survey for credit card users, I had to manage how to do it by Word professionally for a little while, not so sure if it was appropriate or not....Pheww

Sixth day

Keep on doing the survey the other day. Need to translate the result of the survey which I wrote before into English as well as a survey summary. Actually, I should have done this kind of job before in the research paper but I was kind of avoiding it, pass it onto my partner. :((

I had learned a lesson : do everything decently. There was sth wrong with my computer clock and that stupid clock made me think it was about 6p.m but actually it wasn't. I had a date so I needed to complete writing the result quickly, that was how things happened. Got asked by the staff why something was missing from the survey and the result I wrote was quite shabby...Phewww

Only one task today huh? Really want to watch Tangled one more time...:((((

seventh day

Task: I had to write a speech of the president of FedEx Vietnam in a competition for students in Dong Nai province. And translate it into English.

1st day coming back

Task given:

• finding info about some organizations (Women union organization, quỹ bảo trợ trẻ em, department of education and training) to identify the pros and cons in cooperation with the brand - a cheese product. 
• Translate a document about Webtretho's background

2nd day
Task given:

• Review the MasterCard website which I helped to find the mistakes 2 weeks ago and they have fixed it, find some more mistakes.
• at the end of the day, I was told to translate into English a document of questions from forum webtretho - with which a cheese product is in cooperation to promote their new cheese.

3th day
These are the steps of observing the questions from forum webtretho. I am supposed to keep an eye on these questions everyday. Try to update the information every minute.

Buoc 1: Nhan file update cau hoi nhan duoc tu Webtretho, em se xem qua va copy nhung cau hoi moi nhat vao file chuan (Cau hoi online forum) cua Chi.

 

Buoc 2: Sau do, em chon loc cau hoi moi va gui Chi xem trong file Word

 

Chi se gui copywriter & chuyen gia de ho tra loi.

 

Sau khi co cau tra loi, em se lam tiep cac buoc sau:

 

Buoc 4: Cap nhat cau tra loi vao file chuan, highlight lam dau hieu nhan biet

 

Buoc 5: Copy file chuan thanh mot file moi, delete het phan cau hoi & tra loi cu chi de lai phan highlight

 

Buoc 6: Gui lai Chi file nay & file chuan -> Chi se gui KH.
